I
enjoyed spending the 2008 baseball season serving as a LBBBC
Board Member and Activities Committee Chairperson. This year,
I felt that I would like to take my role one step further and
run for Vice President. I think in our first year of being
a booster club we have learned a lot, and I look forward to taking
what I have learned and applying it to having an even better
2009. I love that Lancaster has a baseball team that we
can support and cheer on, and what better way to do that then
through the LBBBC?!?!?! I am happy to bring with me many
ideas to get members of all ages involved in the club and continue
to expand and meet our goals. Oh, and I will continue to
use my "teacher voice" as needed for bus trip bingo. |

| I
have been a fan of the barnstormers since watching my first game
back in July of 2005. I have been a create-a-plan ticket
holder for the first four season, and upgraded for 2009. I
have helped out with the liaison committee for the first year of
the booster club and helped contribute to every team player meal. I
possess very strong writing and communication skills that would
help me succeed at secretary position. |

You could say that I am one of the “quiet” fans
at the top of section 19 on any given evening at the Clipp. If
you sit anywhere near section 19 you may have spent parts of the
2008 season hearing my dad and I make note of most of the players
coming up to bat for the ‘Stormers. Yes, that is us. Growing
up, Dad had me watch quite a few baseball games on TV, but sometimes
I said they were BORING… Since baseball is here in
Lancaster, I have grown to love watching the game and coming to
the ballpark on a regular basis. It is a great way to spend
time with important family members and friends. I found if
the team is here and I am not, I feel like I really should be just
to cheer them on. Next year, I will be by upgrading to a
full season ticket plan and I am sure I will even be at the away
games sometimes too. By being a charter member of the booster
club in 2008, I have taken the opportunity to get to know more
people who love the game of baseball and the Barnstormers, participated
in the Project for the Needy, helped with the Cardboard to Leather
program and participated in other Booster Club activities. I
feel that I have many ideas that will help the club remain a successful
organization over the coming year. I was Secretary of several
clubs and organizations during my high school and college years. I
believe this past experience, along with my current job as a supervisor
of an underwriting department for a dental insurance company, affords
me the ability to use my leadership, organizational and time management
skills on a daily basis. I feel that I am able to carry
these skills and past experiences through as a Secretary and as
a leader of the L.B.B.B.C. |

I'm
a devoted Barnstormers' fan and season ticket holder, and rarely
miss a game. I have been the Booster Club's Treasurer for the last
year, and would like to continue in that role, helping to manage
the Club's finances and working with the rest of the Board and Officers
to grow the Booster Club and help it reach its potential. I enjoy
working with and helping people, and look forward to serving the
Club for another year. |

My
family and I have had season tickets since the first season,
and we really love the team. To show my support for the team
and the Booster Club, I’ve
donated the Club’s website
since the Booster Club started, and am happy to also produce
the Club’s newsletter. I'm the Committee Chair for
the Website and Comminications Committees, and have recently
joined the Player Liaison Committee. I run my own business, Limehat & Company,
and have managed people, training programs, and client projects
for more than 15 years. I also run a political action committee,
serving as State Director, and in that capacity, I have run several
political debates and forums – so I’m comfortable
working with people from diverse backgrounds and affiliations.
I’ve
served as a consultant to civic groups working to protect the
environment, so I’m experienced bringing citizens together
with corporations and government agencies to work out their differences
and solve problems. I believe my experience in business, politics,
and community activism give me skills that I can put to good
use for this organization, and I really think that the Booster
Club can grow and become a respected and valuable asset to the
team – the players and coaches, as well as Barnstormers
management. |

First,
I am an avid 'Stormers fan. I
was a member of the Steering Committee, which had the responsibility
of bringing the Boosters to life. Over the past year, as Chair
of the Charitable Committee, I have led four different Charity events,
Christmas Food Distribution, Daniel's Den Spin-a-thon, Daniel's Den
Playground Build, and the Cardboard to Leather Program. |

I am a resident of York, (please don’t
hold that against me) Pennsylvania. I have been married for
almost 25 years to my wife Sindy and we have a 19 year old daughter.
I work for RLPS Architects here in Lancaster as an Associate/Technology
Coordinator where I am in charge of the Information Technology
and Print Department. I am also in charge of the office’s
CAD system and write the Office Standards for the use of it. I
am also on the Office Policy Committee. I have also helped
in the organization of the Office Process & Procedures Manual.
I was a church board member for two terms and have been a leader
in a scout type program associated with the Assemblies of God church
denomination called Royal Rangers for the past 14 years. I
am also involved in my churches Music and Youth ministry where
I play lead guitar. I am a Diamond Club Member and my wife and
I have been season ticket holders since the 2006 Championship season. We
follow the Barnstormers not only at home but support them on the
road from time to time and if we can’t be at the game, we
listen to them on the computer. We have been to every Atlantic
League ballpark with the exception of Nashua and Long Island and
have attended every away game held at Sovereign Bank Stadium in
York. Was
voted Craziest Fan during a contest last season because I submitted
a photo thinking there is no way they would choose me. Boy
was I wrong; nothing like having your photo plastered on thousands
of First Pitch playbills. And yes, my license plate is really
STORMRS. Other than following the Barnstormers, I enjoy the outdoors
and backpacking. |
Wes Kurtz |
My
name is Wesley Kurtz. I live in Landisville. I have been a Barnstormer
fan since 2005. I would like to be considered for one of the
positions on the board of directors of the LBBBC. I have been
an active member of the membership committee since the club’s
inception. I have also been involved with the safety committee
at my place of employment. I would like to help the booster club
grow and be an asset to the team and the community. |
Evelyn Lefever |
I
have a lot of experience in management, volunteering, and working
in community groups, and I’d like
to put my experience to work for the Booster Club.
I’m married with two children and three grandchildren, and
retired from CRW Parts, where I was an Office Manager. I’m
a Booster Club member, and serve on the Membership Committee, where
I’ve helped out on various events. I’m involved in the
Neighborhood Association where I live, and I’m a member of
the Red Hat Society, too. I volunteer for the March of Domes, and
at election time, I work at the polls and have served as an inspector.
When my children were younger, I was involved in different committees
at their school, and also served as a leader for the Brownies, Girl
Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts. I try to be aware of all aspects
of our community and what’s going on in Lancaster. |

I

Deb Paules (Meck) |
My
name is Deb Paules (Meck) I am running for a position on the
board of directors. I have
been an avid fan of the Barnstormers since opening season and have
served as an Usher for the past three seasons. I have served
on and been chairperson on numerous committees in the past and
feel that I have something to contribute to the Booster Club. I
would be honored to serve once again on the Board of Directors. Thank
you for considering me for the Board. |

I have served as the Secretary of
the Steering Committee and the LBBBC. I am also the Chairperson
of the membership committee. I have been an active member of
the club by participating in community projects and club activities. During
the season you can find me working somewhere in the stadium or watching
our guys play ball. Over the next year, I would like to see
our club grow and become more involved with the Barnstormers and
our community. I would like to be considered for a position
on the board. |
Ann Talbot |
As
a season ticket holder, I’ve
never missed a Barnstormers’ game!! I have been involved
with the Booster Club since its beginnings, and am a member of
the Player Liaison Committee. I’d
love to be on the Board so that I can help to shape and grow the
Club. I think we have great potential to really help the team, inspire
the community, and work effectively with the Barnstormers organization.
I have a lot of experience with fundraising events, community activities,
and working as part of a group, and I’d like to bring that
experience – and
my enthusiasm for the Barnstormers – to the Club’s Board
of Directors. |
